Beppu Park is a large comprehensive park located in the center of Beppu City, Oita Prefecture, covering approximately 27.3 hectares and is about a 10 to 15-minute walk from JR Beppu Station. The park features expansive lawns, ponds, bamboo groves, plum orchards, and tennis courts, making it a major recreational space for various activities and for citizens to walk and jog. Established during the Meiji period, some of the pine trees in the park are over 100 years old, creating a rare large pine forest landscape in the city. In spring, it is famous for its plum and cherry blossoms, attracting many visitors for flower viewing and photography.
