The park was completed in 2009 and is open 24 hours a day, featuring facilities such as the Seoul city wall, the Euljiro Water Gate, the Dongdaemun History Museum, and exhibition halls for artifacts, making it a popular spot for understanding the urban development of Seoul and for leisurely walks and photography. The park is adjacent to the Dongdaemun fashion shopping district and several department stores and wholesale markets, making it suitable for cultural strolls during the day and enjoying the illuminated night views and vibrant atmosphere of Dongdaemun at night.
Namsan Outdoor Botanical Garden

Namsan Outdoor Botanical Garden is an urban green space located at the southern foot of Namsan in the Yongsan District of Seoul. It showcases over 100,000 plants from approximately 270 species of native Korean trees and flowers, divided into 13 themed areas. Originally a foreign residential area in Hannam-dong, it was demolished in 1994 and transformed into a botanical garden that opened on February 18, 1997. Today, it has become a popular spot for walking, flower viewing, and family outings in the city center. The garden features well-paved trails, scenic lawns, and pavilions, connecting to the Namsan Park and trail system, allowing visitors to escape the hustle and bustle of downtown while enjoying convenient transportation.
