Yoyogi Park is an urban forest park in Shibuya, Tokyo, next to Meiji Shrine. It is known for its broad lawns, tree-lined paths, and versatile open spaces, making it one of the rare green areas in central Tokyo where visitors can walk, exercise, and attend large events all in one place.

Getting There

The nearest station is Yoyogi-Koen Station on the Tokyo Metro Chiyoda Line, about a 3-minute walk away, or Yoyogi-Hachiman Station on the Odakyu Line, about a 4- to 6-minute walk. JR Harajuku Station on the Yamanote Line is also about a 3-minute walk away.

Hours & Admission

Admission is free. The park is generally open from 05:00 to 17:00; from May 1 to October 15 it is open from 05:00 to 20:00, and from October 16 to April 30 it is open from 05:00 to 17:00. The cycling center is open approximately from 09:00 to 16:30, with rentals accepted until 16:00; it is closed on Mondays, and if Monday is a national holiday the closure is postponed to the following day; it is also closed from December 29 to January 3. Parking is paid: 400 yen for the first hour for standard cars, then 200 yen per 30 minutes.
