Namsan Outdoor Botanical Garden is an urban green space located at the southern foot of Namsan in the Yongsan District of Seoul. It showcases over 100,000 plants from approximately 270 species of native Korean trees and flowers, divided into 13 themed areas. Originally a foreign residential area in Hannam-dong, it was demolished in 1994 and transformed into a botanical garden that opened on February 18, 1997. Today, it has become a popular spot for walking, flower viewing, and family outings in the city center. The garden features well-paved trails, scenic lawns, and pavilions, connecting to the Namsan Park and trail system, allowing visitors to escape the hustle and bustle of downtown while enjoying convenient transportation.
