The Donglin East Well in Donglin Settlement, Lieyu Township, was excavated in 1204 during the Song dynasty by Lin Yanzhi and has a history of more than 800 years. It is the largest ancient well in Kinmen and is notable for its unusual construction. In 2004, as part of rural redevelopment, steps and a granite-paved surface were added around the well, and an stainless-steel protective frame and transparent glass were installed above it. It is designated as a county-level historic site.

This monument commemorates the seven warriors who heroically sacrificed their lives during the 1933 Anti-Japanese War while defending the ancient pass at the Great Wall of Gubeikou, successfully completing their mission after killing hundreds of enemies.
