Overview

Zhushan is located in the southwest of Kinmen Island, at the starting point of the Circular Road. This is a single-surname settlement of the Xue clan, whose ancestors settled here from Xueling in Xiamen during the Yuan Dynasty, with a history of 650 years. The first impression upon entering Zhushan Settlement is its beautiful colors, surrounded by highlands with a large pond in the center, forming a feng shui auspicious site known as 'Four Waters Returning to the Pond.' The willows by the lakeside sway in the wind, and the 'Eurasian Hoopoe' bird, which cannot be seen on Taiwan Island, often forages on the lawn, making it a gathering place for various waterfowl. The beautiful scenery of Gugang Lake allows for a calming experience, making it suitable for children to run on the grass, as well as for leisurely afternoon strolls and visits to Gugang Tower, all of which provide excellent travel experiences.
